Placing patient on a cardiac, fetal, uterine monitor. Monitor uterine contactions. Monitor I&O
Increase in uterine tone, no postpartum hemmorhage, effective contractions
Inform patient of the reason for Oxytocin and desired symptoms. Explain that patient and fetus will be monitored.
